Scouts is welcoming of all, boys and girls, with groups across the county, in most villages and towns.
Squirrels
The newest section of Scouting! Squirrels is for 4-6 year olds, and helps to develop lots of skills – they can even work towards badges and awards like the other sections.
Beavers
Beaver Scouts are ages 6-8 and cover loads of topics and activities on brilliant programmes.
Cubs
Cub Scouts are aged 8-10.5 years, expanding on the topics covered in the younger sections, as well as introducing more!
Scouts
Scouts is for young people aged 10.5-14, with loads of awards, activities and programmes open to this age group.
Explorers
Explorer Scouts follow on from Scouts, for ages 14-18. As well as all the activities, there are even more awards, including a partnership with the Duke of Edinburgh award.
Network
18-25 year olds can enjoy Network, either in its own right, or alongside a volunteering role.

Guides welcomes girls across Dorset, with many units local to villages and towns.
Rainbows
Rainbow Guides is open to 4-7 years and promotes learning through play, within its programme.
Brownies
For girls age 7-10, Brownies offers a varied programme to develop on that of Rainbows.
Guides
Guides is for ages 10-14 and focuses on inspiring and challenging girls.
Rangers
Girls aged 14-18 can enjoy Rangers which helps encourage girls to take the lead.
